On Making Ourselves Invisible So We Can Fit In

Furaya Joyce says, "Stop shrinking yourself to fit places you've outgrown."

I can't get this quote out of my mind and I keep thinking about how we sabotage ourselves financially to fit people and places we’ve outgrown:

*Job positions

*Clients

*Managers

*Pricing (refusing to increase price to reflect quality and experience)

*Friends

*Countries

*Romantic relationships

We know it's time to move on, but we refuse and fight it at all costs.

We see the signs and fight them.

We hear the intuitive nudge and ignore it.

Until life makes us and forces us out and when that happens, it's not nice and never peaceful.

How are you shrinking yourself to fit in something you have outgrown and how is it affecting your finances?

When we shrink ourselves, we make ourselves invisible so we can fit in.

Understanding the vow of invisibility

A vow of invisibility is a vow we take to make ourselves not stand out and not be SEEN.

Being seen has nothing to do with being public but about our true selves being seen.

It's possible to be invisible and yet be in front of 1,000 people because we’re hiding behind a persona and have made ourselves invisible.

This vow can be from a past life or this life.

Usually it's a vow we take to keep ourselves safe and alike all vows it's triggered by an event and can literally turn our lives upside down.

How do you know you've taken a vow of invisibility?

You may have a fear of being seen in relationships (standing out because you have money), publicly, privately etc.

But it’s not just reservation - it feels wrong or unsafe.

And sometimes it may feel like you have to pretend to be someone in order to be safe.

Feeling like it’s not safe to be seen makes sense since we make the vow of invisibility to protect ourselves.

The really wild thing is we can make the same vows several times in our life times, so we may be required to clear our vows several times depending on our triggers.

And some vows are nestled within other vows. So the vow of invisibility can be a secondary vow to the vow of perfection, celibacy etc.

How does the vow of invisibility hold us back financially?

The vow of invisibility may not hold everyone back, many people can make money and build investments without being visible and for some it may even be an advantage.

The problem is if your work requires you to be visible, talk, do media interviews or connect with people on a heart to heart level, then it starts to slow down your progression.

If you have this vow, you’ll always make the decision to be invisible over making money.

If making more money means more eyes on you or being more authentic then you’ll sabotage that opportunity because your subconscious will register that as unsafe.

Vows will always supercede affirmations or will power or visualization or almost anything really because we are bound to them in the spiritual plane.

Shadow selves and vows

Our shadow selves are there to protect us and so are our vows. We make the vows we make because they protect us or serve us in some way.

Our shadow selves work with us to enforce these vows. So the inner critic may criticize our public speaking or how we look in photos in order to help us honor our vow of invisibility.

The saboteur, may sabotage all our PR efforts in order to honor our vow of invisibility.

How to clear vows

We do this A LOT in the #MoneyMagic course because vows are a huge part of breaking behavioral patterns.

We use guided meditations to clear them in the course.
