All in Creating Extra Streams Of income
I need the industry to stop pushing this idea of working 16 hour days building businesses, because “if you truly wanted it, you would work even harder.”
I bought into this belief and my nervous system went bezerk because it didn't feel safe. My depression worsened and all I wanted was to take my life 80% of the time.
I went to vipassana when I was on the brink of taking my life. The only reason I didn't was because I went to an elderly tarot card reader, by the name of Raymond, at the Tremont Tea Room (in Boston, MA), who told me to hold on because in March (of 2011) I would go to a retreat that would change my life.
I LOVE how soo many of my clients talk about me giving non-conventional financial advise and how their lives wildly change from that.
There's this insidious belief that people misuse money because they didn't go to school and only people with no university degrees are in debt.
Or that people are poor because they are lazy.
There's something really scary and insidious about the old/current system that teaches us that the only way to make money is to work hard and that people are poor because they don't work hard enough.
That a good life is one where we work and save and work and save and then eventually one day when we have "enough money" we can start to do the things that set our souls on fire?
