How to do difficult things

How to do difficult things

This week in the #MoneyMagic Podcast I talk to Lungile Ngubane, a fitness trainer and accountability partner. Lungi helps women achieve their fitness goals using their feminine cycle. Her mission is to create a safe space for all her clients based on their individual experiences to help them heal their emotional trauma and reach their goals.

The question, where are you and how are you feeling is not asked enough in the fitness space. This is because we tend to focus on the big numbers and how we can achieve them in a short time which makes training physically and emotionally draining. Different exercises do different work for us, and as women we respond differently to exercise every day. This is why we need to practice self-compassion. In this podcast we talk about giving ourselves five minutes of courage and what that means.

So many of us quit the gym and don’t like exercising because we think it’s difficult. Exercising is not difficult, but it will force you to go into your body and feel the things that are stored there, which can be uncomfortable. Working with our bodies can help us process pain from our trauma, which can help us heal.

Lungi also explains why there’s nothing wrong with getting emotional and that it’s a sign that something happened to you, and what happened to you is key in creating a safe space for healing and exercising.

This is a great episode to help you understand how to do difficult things.
