South Africa 2021 Retreat, Day 3
The food at this #WealthyMoneyRetreat was really unbelievable.
I believe food is one of the true pleasures of life and I believe humans should feast when they eat.
I have seen how important it is to incorporate pleasure into our daily lives, especially when we are doing deep healing work, so massages and food are key in my retreats.
I love tables that are fully laid out and food that fills the table so every meal was a celebration.
My mom says I get that from my maternal great grandmother, apparently when my dad moved in with my mom and my grandmother and great grandmother, he asked why they always ate like it was a party and my grannies were soo confused about what he meant .
My dad says my maternal great grandmother taught him all about food and cuisine. Cos the woman could cook.
She would make us all sit at the dining table and insisted in it being well decked out.
She passed on when I was 9, but I remember how she and my dad got along like a house on fire.
My maternal great grandmother was an interesting woman - she barely lived in South Africa and was a nomad and lived in different countries. My mom says, she would go traveling for years and come back to SA when she felt like it. She only settled down when we were born.

My mom says I take after her a lot and that's why no one in my family even tries to stop me from traveling cos they have seen this before.
I believe my great grandmother is the one that gives me my vegan recipes, cos I will be sitting and suddenly a new recipe will pop into my mind. I know she gave me the Jane's Chili recipe.
All this to say food is a deeply ancestral thing for me, so my retreats center around food.
All the food was #vegan
Our chef made lunch and dinner and baked the cakes and I took care of breakfast.
A lot of the inner work gets done as we eat and sit at the dinner table.
We even had a formal dinner on the last night where everyone got to dress up fancy (will share those pictures in a few days).
We started the retreat with Mexican Tacos and Strawberry cake and it just got better from there
We had carrot cake and the most awesome chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream.
All of it was vegan. Zeus Salvatore Gusson out did himself with the food.
