The Link Between Self Sabotage and Being the First to Achieve Something in your Family
What I LOVE about the #MoneyMagic student group keeps it real.
A while back, we had someone moving into her dream apartment and she posted daily, sometimes 3 times a day in the student group, sharing her deep insights and fears and the pain of being the first in her family to move to her own place and live alone.
Not just her own place - to move to the suburbs.
Not just the suburbs but the beachfront.
The depth of untangling these vows of loyalty to the tribe are deep.
The pain of expanding beyond our family and releasing the identity of what people like us can and cannot do.
The courage it takes to be the first in our families to do something and choose a different way of being, cannot be underestimated.
Questioning deeply held beliefs about how people who look like us can or cannot live.
That ish is painful and it causes expansion blocks.
We really are a collective people but we also want to experience our own expansion, so often these 2 things can feel like they are at odds.
The guilt of doing something different to our family is real and can sabotage us from expanding
We will manifest emergencies, get rid of money, sabotage great opportunities...
Often we see the end result of most people's success but what I appreciate about the #MoneyMagic student group is where we get to see the journey and the trauma that gets integrated and the insane breakthroughs that happen in the moment, which actually helps us keep going.
We get to hold each other through all that and really feel it and acknowledge it all.
We get to dance with the challenge of balancing the needs of the collective and the individual constantly.
I don’t have the answers but we are all learning how to do this and it's messy and beautiful and triggering and miraculous.
The magic is in the healing.
The truth is every new level of expansion will bring up ish.
What doesn’t get healed will constantly trip us up, delay us or stop us from doing the scary uncomfortable thing, which is oftentimes soo necessary for our expansion.
