Still Processing the Wealthy Money 2022 Retreat in South Africa
I got back from the #WealthyMoneyRetreat in Mpumalanga on Monday evening.
I fly back to Cape Town today but I am still processing and integrating the whole retreat. My heart is full
So much happened in a short space of time. I think we are all integrating the powerful shifts. We dug deep on receiving, asking, vulnerability, the womb (OMG - there is soo much that was birthed around womb work) and being Black Women in the system and how that affects the way our wombs operate.
We held space fiercely and expansively for each other and gave ourselves and everyone around us permission to be soft and to be fully ourselves and to hear that small voice within and trust it, especially on our money journey.
And boy did we discuss money and feel into our bodies and be in our bodies and shake and cry and scream in pain as we released the deep lies, we have been told about "earning a living" and how these lies keep us co-opting to the system.
Norman Mailer once said, "Ultimately a hero is a man who would argue with the gods, and so awakens devils to contest his vision. The more a man can achieve, the more he may be certain that the devil will inhabit a part of his creation."
Each of us is on a journey and each of us knows what’s best for ourselves, better than any other person alive ever will.
No matter how much advice you get – only you know what you need at this point in your life.
We all know this but we very rarely believe it.
Our society is engineered to make us doubt ourselves.
From a very young age, we’re taught that there’s someone that knows more than us – teachers, parents, grown-ups...
By the time we reach adulthood we’re pretty much conditioned to follow some kind of system and trained to consult outside sources before consulting ourselves.
People’s opinions start to matter more than ours; we worry about what others think and say and stop listening to our inner voice.
Do you feel you often (80% of the time) honor your inner voice?
